It is better to read a book than watch its screen version
Nowadays, the question of people’s attitude to screen versions of books has always aroused strong debates. Some people believe that it is better to read a book than to watch its screen version, while others claim that films based on books can replace reading.
In my opinion, screen versions cannot be compared with traditional books. Firstly, books help people to develop their imagination. Reading allows people to imagine the appearance of characters, and it is interesting. Actors of films often do not fit the description of books. Secondly, screen versions are limited in duration, so they cannot reflect all details of books.
However, some people claim that watching screen versions of books is better than reading them. In their view, reading is time-consuming, so watching films saves people’s time. Also, they think that screen versions of books allow people to visualize the information, and it helps them to remember the facts and plot of books better.
