It is well known that every teenager likes to speak on different subjects. Doing a project on what topics teenagers in Zetland discuss at school I have found a diagram with some relevant data. I am going to analyse them express my opinion.
As can be seen from the diagram, the most popular topics among teenagers are popular games and songs and tasks and grades – 33% and 26% respectively. On the contrary, the least popular theme is plans for the future, as only 8 percent of the respondents have chosen this option.
According the data in the diagram, teenagers also choose such topic as relationships with parents and siblings (14%) and it is 5 percent less popular than fashion and gadgets (19%). It demonstrates that adolescents don’t really want to talk about their family relationships.
As far as I can see, a few problems can arise with communication with peers. The main problem is that everyone has different interests and this can often lead to conflicts. I suppose that respect for the opinion of others can help to solve this problem.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that communication with peers is very important for teenagers because thanks to it adolescents can find understanding among people of their own age.
