Personaly, I think that any language in the world is difficult, but Russian is one of the most difficult languages. First of all, Russian stresses are unpredictable. It is very difficult for foreign students to understand where to put the stress. Secondly, Russian language has six cases. Using a particular case means you have to change the words. It's complicated for students whose native languages dont have cases. What is more, there are 33 letters and even more sounds in Russian language. Sometimes letters are pronounced differently than they are written.
Nevertheless, some people consider that learning Russian is no harder than learning other languages and at some points is easier. Once you learn the alphabet you can pronounce almost all words quite accurately. Moreover, Russian does not use complicated sentence structures like English.
