Government should limit the size of sugary drink containers in order to improve public health
Fizzy drinks have always been enjoyed by those who have a sweet tooth and they might be one of the unhealthiest things in a modern person’s diet. There have been suggestions to introduce a law restricting the amount of the liquid in cans and bottles of the unhealthy beverages. Not everyone, though, find this solution worthwhile.
To my mind, the idea of producing only small bottles of Coke instead of huge ones is utterly useless. To begin with, the fans of the drink will purchase even more small containers instead of one large and will consequently consume even more of the unhealthy substance. Secondly, creation of a law like this would mean the government interferes with the decisions of businesses, therefore restricting their freedom.
