A person who is fluent in a foreign language can easily work as interpreter.
Nowadays an interpreter is extremely popular profession all over the world. Therefore, some people suppose that perfect language skills guarantee a work in this sphere. Others claim that knowing a foreign language does not give the opportunity to be a translator.
Personally, I consider that people who are fluent in a foreign language cannot easily work as a translator. First of all, every employer needs only qualified workers. Therefore, a person who want to be a translator must not only have an appropriate knowledge of a foreign language but to get a professional education in the university. Secondly, this field needs such features of character as punctuality, hard-working and talkativeness. Moreover, such abilities as negotiation skills and management of the time are crucial for every professional interpreter.
