Nowadays there is an opinion that extending of cities has a markedly negative impact on the environment. However, some people claim the situation is not as bad as it is believed to be.

In my opinion, there are clearly more disadvantages in towns' groth which refer to the environment. Firstly, people destroy an ecological system, cut down forests to build new houses and roads. As a consequence, lots of animals die and there remain so few trees producing the oxygen which is vital for both people and other creatures. Secondly, cities are usually full of factories which pollute air and water.
